Professional Objective
Mechanical Engineering student at Cornell University with experience spanning manufacturing analytics, mechanical design, finite element analysis, prototyping, testing, and dynamic-system modeling. As a Division I NCAA student-athlete, I bring discipline, accountability, and the ability to perform under demanding schedules. I am seeking full-time mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or operations opportunities beginning in 2027, with particular interest in the automotive and aerospace industries.
Engineering Experience
Engineering Intern — Eaton Corporation
Asheville, NC | Summer 2026
- Replaced a manual Excel process with a daily-updating Power BI dashboard tracking more than 91,000 non-stock part orders representing over $42 million in sales exposure
- Used Power Query, DAX, and conditional formatting to identify material shortages, past-due parts, supplier delays, and production-scheduling risks
- Improved cross-functional visibility for sales, scheduling, supply-chain, manufacturing, and operations teams
- Provided manufacturing data that helped validate the business need for additional hiring headcount
- Standardized an informal sales-engineering onboarding process into a repeatable four-week training progression
Engineering Projects
E-Bike Frame Design and Optimization — Cornell Mechanical Engineering
Redesigned and validated an aluminum e-bike frame for battery integration and top-tube removal.
- Developed a shell-element finite element model in ANSYS
- Evaluated frame stress and deformation under multiple realistic loading conditions
- Completed a mesh-convergence study to establish reliable simulation results
- Performed parametric wall-thickness analysis to evaluate design tradeoffs
- Maintained a minimum factor of safety of 3 across the evaluated loading conditions
Instrumented Torque Wrench Design — Cornell MAE 3270
Designed and analyzed a 3/8-inch-drive instrumented torque wrench rated for ±600 in-lbf.
- Performed analytical stress, strain, fatigue, and fracture calculations to size the wrench geometry and evaluate candidate materials
- Developed the CAD model in Fusion 360 and refined the geometry to improve strain-gauge sensitivity and stress distribution
- Conducted finite element analysis in ANSYS, including mesh refinement and principal-stress evaluation
- Achieved approximately 3% agreement between hand-calculated and finite element deflection
- Modeled the expected strain-gauge output using a half-bridge circuit configuration
- Managed CAD development and project milestones while coordinating work around academic and athletic commitments
RC Car Dynamic Modeling and Controls — Cornell System Dynamics
Developed a numerical vehicle model for use in controller design and performance analysis.
- Derived coupled differential equations for the motor and longitudinal vehicle dynamics
- Developed transfer functions from experimental feedback-control data
- Used MATLAB to analyze system response and support controller development
- Evaluated proportional-integral speed control, steering feedback, actuator saturation, and integrator windup
- Compared simulated behavior with experimental RC-car performance
Compact Multitool Design — Cornell Mechanical Design
Designed and prototyped a compact multitool intended to improve drawer-space efficiency.
- Led CAD modeling and iterative design refinement in Fusion 360
- Used 3D printing to evaluate fit, ergonomics, assembly, and functional performance
- Incorporated prototype-testing results into subsequent design revisions
- Contributed to design-for-manufacturability decisions and team design reviews
- Presented the completed prototype and supporting design rationale to course staff
